Personal Training
A study published by The Journal of Sports Science & Medicine showed a significant difference in results from self-managed cookie-cutter programs with at least a 30% higher success rate in clients achieving their goals when working regularly with a qualified health and fitness professional.
ALL memberships come with FREE access to our scheduled Orientation Sessions (see our schedule for times). Orientation sessions teach you the basics of working on the resistance training machines which are key in developing strong, toned and conditioned muscle. Working with pin-loaded machines allows you to isolate specific muscles and reduce the chances of injury, as they are designed to work mechanically in a way that keeps your body in the right position throughout each movement. They are also much easier to operate and learn for beginners, but equally as effective for all levels of client and athlete programming.
Alternatively, you can book an orientation or customised personal training session with any of our qualified PT contractors. We recommend this if you have any specific health concerns, injuries or roadblocks to your ultimate goal that may require special attention. All of our personal trainers are contractors and operate their own business through agreement with the facility. Contact them directly for individual rates, services and availability.
Group Training
The benefits of group exercise are well documented. Boost motivation through social opportunities, accountability and benchmarking yourself against peers are all key elements of your success in any group training class.
Our “Mashed Up” classes come free as part of your membership. If you are new to the gym or haven’t participated in this style of HIIT based training, fear not as our training staff will help you calibrate resistance and intensity to get you through the classes effectively. With the support from our friends at Apex Kickboxing, we are also pleased to be able to offer a regular technique focused kickboxing conditioning class. Both class formats offer a pathway to elevated fitness and greater muscle tone and are included in our 24/7 membership offers.
If it’s mobility and or general wellness you need Pilates is a good class to look into. Grainne operates as a contractor in the gym, contact her directly for fees and availability. Her sessions are very well structured and a safe environment for clients at all levels of fitness.
